Sam Edmonds fotografía en la India a una comunidad de niños sin hogar con sus perros

Even being one of the most notable emerging economies, India is still the country with the largest concentration of poverty in the World. The are lots of children and dogs living in the streets. It’s probably the country with more dogs living in the streets. Most of them are cruelly slaughtered when they are seen as a threat. Associations like Obhoyaronno (Bangladesh Animal Welfare Foundation) try to solve part of this problem sterilizing all those pets without a home, and once done, they are freed again. One of the most curious areas where they worked was in the Robindra Shorbod park in Bangladesh. There, a comunity of homeless children live with ten stray dogs, taking care one of each other. This special relationship was captured by the Australian photographer and documentary maker Sam Edmonds in his series “Robindra Boys”. Portraits of children and dogs giving mutual support. Behind them, the background is very dark. However, you can see brightness in their eyes. A positive and realistic message through the documentary photography by Sam Edmonds and the work of associations like Obhoyaronno. [iwwd]
